Laura has an MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University and mostly writes nonfiction essays about triumphant family love. Her prose poetry and nonfiction work have appeared in Apple Valley Review, Brevity’s Nonfiction Blog, Entropy Magazine, The Red Clay Review, Quiet Lightning’s print journal sPARKLE & bLINK, and on Perspectives, a storytelling segment on KQED public radio. With Northern California as her backdrop and the rust belt at her roots, she is writing her first book.
This fall, Laura has prose poems about crows, camping, and a watchdog sycamore tree forthcoming in The Fourth River and Coal Hill Review.
During daylight hours, Laura is a developmental editor and thought leadership consultant for startup executives. She’s worked as a content strategist and copywriter for technology companies for 10+ years, and her writing has appeared in a range of business publications in addition to brand blogs.
