Bio

Laura mostly writes about triumphant family love. Her prose poetry and nonfiction work have appeared in Aurora: The Allegory Ridge Poetry Anthology, Coal Hill Review, Entropy Magazine, The Red Clay Review, The Fourth River, Mother Mag, Quiet Lightning’s sPARKLE & bLINK, and on Perspectives, a listener commentary series on KQED public radio, among others. She has a poem forthcoming in Moonstone Arts Center’s poetry anthology The Weight of Motherhood.

Laura has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Chatham University, a school in her home city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With Northern California as her backdrop and the Rust Belt at her roots, she is writing her first book.

During daylight hours, Laura is a developmental editor and thought leadership consultant for startup executives. She’s worked as a content strategist, copywriter, and editor for 15 years, and her writing has appeared in a range of business publications and brand blogs.
